GET PASS THE PAST!

“Don’t let your past get in front of you.” ~ Billie Miller
You are amazing! But notice I didn’t say “You are Perfect!” Yes, you are truly an amazing person, but you are far from perfect. You’re not alone because none of us are perfect people. I’m sure you’ve done things that you’ve regretted. I’m sure you’ve made mistakes in the past. You may have made decisions that have left people wounded.

But guess what? Your past doesn’t have to define you. You have a decision to make. You can choose to be bitter or you can choose to be better. There’s nothing you can do to change your past, but there’s a whole lot you can do to change your future.

Make a decision today to no longer let your past get in front of you. Get pass the past and start building your future.

Get up..get over it…and get going.

OFF THE CHAIN!

“You’re always doing for others. When was the last time you let others do for you?” ~ Billie Miller

I was taking my daughter to school this morning and I notice a dog running around the neighborhood by himself. He had a leash on him, so it was obvious that he had gotten away from his owner. It wasn’t long before I saw this frustrated lady coming around the corner. “Toby, get over here!” The dog saw her and took off running. Then the lady started making this strange blowing sound. When I realized that she was trying to whistle, it took everything in me to not laugh. I figured I’d help the lady out, so I let out a loud whistle for the dog. He ran back over to her, but he didn’t stop. He ran right pass her and went the other way. “Toby!!!” This lady wasn’t happy…but Toby was.

You’ve heard of dog stories like this before. Toby will eventually come back home, but now he was having a moment of freedom. When was the last time you were “off the chain” and enjoyed freedom? Maybe you’re a mother whom everyone looks to; maybe you’re a manager who everybody calls on. Take a vacation, get a pedicure, go fishing…it’s okay to have some “me” time. You deserve it.
